On my visit, heading out early at 5:30 am gave me a real advantage, as I got to enjoy nearly every ride and attraction with minimal waiting times. Skipping Water World was a bit of a bummer, but it allowed more time for everything else. Fueling myself with a banana before leaving early was a smart move, giving me some quick energy for the adrenaline-filled morning. Throughout the day, I balanced indulgent treats with keeping active, evidenced by the 14,000 steps I clocked. Sharing a butter beer with my family perfectly captured the Universal Studios vibe—it's one of those treats you just can't skip! For lunch, I went for a smoked turkey leg with mustard and BBQ sauce along with fries. It was a satisfying, protein-rich option packed with flavor. Later, a three-finger combo dinner at Raising Cane's rounded out the day with a hearty, tasty meal. Though it was definitely a cheat day—something I usually limit—it was worth every bite because of the fun, smiles, and memories shared with loved ones. To keep balance, I planned another 5k run the following day, ready to 'lock back in' on my health goals. Cheat days like this remind me how important it is to enjoy life and food guilt-free sometimes, especially when it revolves around good company and exciting adventures. If you’re planning a visit to Universal Studios, consider starting early, packing some smart snacks, and making space for indulgent treats while staying active through all the walking and attractions. It’s the perfect balance for a memorable, guilt-free theme park day!
