... Read moreRefreshing your twistout is a game changer for anyone rocking curly hair. I’ve found that instead of washing and retwisting every day, a gentle twistout refresh can extend your style and keep your curls looking defined and soft. Here’s what I usually do: First, I lightly mist my hair with a water-based leave-in conditioner or just plain water mixed with a bit of curl cream to reactivate the curls. The key is not to soak the hair but to dampen it enough to reshape the curls. Next, I use my fingers or a wide-tooth comb to gently separate and redefine the twists if they’ve shrunk or lost shape overnight. This helps revive the curls without causing too much frizz or disruption. If I notice any dryness or flyaways, I apply a small amount of lightweight oil or curl butter, focusing on the ends to keep them hydrated and shiny. Finally, for added volume and bounce, I sometimes pineapple my hair at night with a loose scrunchie and use a satin bonnet to reduce friction and preserve the twistout. This refreshing method keeps my curls vibrant and prevents the need for a full wash and retwist, saving time and maintaining hair health. The twistout refresh is a perfect solution for curly girls who want to embrace their natural texture effortlessly. Give it a try and watch your curls come back to life!

Things I would tell my 18 year old self:
Now that I’m 25 years old, I have had so many experiences now then I did when I was 18 years old. My mind was focused on partying, finally having my “independence”, and becoming a legal adult. Of course, as we grow we learn. So these are the thing I would tell my 18 year old self (and you guys)!

How old Are you? 🍃
Think back to when you were a 15. Did you do anything possible to appear older, more mature? Maybe you wore too much makeup. Dressed a little older than you should have? I bet a few of you out there had a fake ID. I know I definitely tried to get one but was unsuccessful 😂 We did all th
