Life is Good
Dear June, It's been a while since we properly caught up, and as I sit here on this quiet Sunday evening, around 9:15 PM, I felt compelled to write to you. There's something about the calm of a Sunday night, especially as September 29th approaches its end, that just makes me want to reflect. And honestly, Junie, I just wanted to tell you: life is good. Really, truly good. I know sometimes it feels like we're constantly chasing something – the next big goal, the perfect moment, or just trying to keep all the plates spinning. But lately, I’ve been focusing on the small, everyday joys, and it’s made all the difference. It’s not about grand gestures or huge successes, though those are wonderful too. It’s about the quiet moments that make your heart feel full, the kind that whisper, 'See? Life is good.' For instance, this morning, waking up to the sun streaming through my window, pouring a hot cup of coffee, and just enjoying the silence before the day truly began – that was a moment. Later, a walk in the park where the leaves are just starting to show hints of autumn color, feeling the crisp air, and seeing families laugh together. Those are the things. Or even just a really good song coming on the radio when I least expect it, making me tap my foot and smile. I’ve also been practicing gratitude more consciously. Instead of just thinking 'thank you,' I've been writing down three things each day that I’m genuinely grateful for. It could be anything – a kind text from a friend, a delicious meal I cooked, or simply having a roof over my head. And you know what? It shifts your perspective entirely. It reminds you that even on challenging days, there’s always, always something to appreciate. It’s a powerful practice. And speaking of appreciation, I really believe that acknowledging the good, and understanding where that good comes from, is key. For me, that’s where the #GodIsGood sentiment comes in. It’s a feeling of divine grace and blessings, even when I don’t understand the path. It’s the comfort of knowing there’s a bigger plan and that I’m supported. It brings a sense of peace that permeates everything. I remember us talking about finding your 'happy place' not so long ago. Mine, lately, isn’t a physical location, but a state of mind. It’s being present, embracing the imperfections, and allowing myself to feel joy without guilt. It's about letting go of the need for everything to be perfect and finding beauty in the 'enough.' So, June, if you’re reading this, I hope it encourages you to find your own 'life is good' moments this week. Take a breath, look around, and notice the small miracles. They’re everywhere, waiting to be seen. And don’t forget to give yourself grace. You deserve all the good things coming your way. Sending you so much love and positive vibes from my cozy corner.
