March Reads 📖📖📖

11. Crescent City : House of Sky and Breath by Sarah J. Maas

Reread in preparation for CC3. Overall liked it but there was just so much detail and plot to follow. I love Rhun and his arc through this book. I like Bryce and Hunt but I kind of got bored with them. I think I was also starting to suffer SJM fatigue halfway through reading this.

12. Crescent City : House of Flame and Shadow by Sarah J. Maas

I honestly really enjoyed this book. But again with the amount of detail and characters and world building. It was a lot. And by this time the SJM fatigue was in full swing lol. I want to go back at some point and read it again. I do adore Lidia though. This was her book all the way!

13. Gold Dust Woman : The Biography of Stevie Nicks by Stephen Davis

Let me start with the fact that I LOVE STEVIE NICKS! However, this book read like an IKEA manual. The format made the material- while interesting- hard to digest.

14. The Graveyard Shift by Maria Lewis

This book was good enough that I read it in two days but I didn’t love it. It had a lot of potential and a great story but the over-use of modern slang and the abrupt ending that seemed out-of-character made this book hard to root for.

15. Butcher & Blackbird by Brynne Weaver

I went the audiobook route with this and I absolutely loved it!!! I listened to the whole thing in a day and listened to it on and off multiple times since. It was funny and sick and twisted and amazing in every way. The characters and their journeys were great. Definitely one of my top three of the year so far!

16. Survive the Night by Riley Sager

Every Sager book always leave me pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoy it. I love a good thriller and he does not disappoint! I thought the pacing would be this books downfall but I read it in 2 days and loved every second.
