June Reads 📖📖📖

33. Twisted Hate by Ana Huang

Every book in this series just gets better and better. I was obsessed with Josh and Juliet’s enemies to lovers arc. The book was wonderfully paced and didn’t feel to out there. The banter was also incredible. Definitely my fave behind Twisted Games!

34. Twisted Lies by Ana Huang

Well. That was the final book of the series. As much as I had hyped this book up in my head, for some reason I could not get into it. I know it’s a lot of people’s favorite of the series but it just felt so unstructured and rushed compared to the rest of the series. The story was cute enough and I can understand the allure of a possessive mmc, but something just fell flat for me here. Probably my least fav of the series.

35. Leather & Lark by Brynne Weaver

This woman can and always will do no wrong in my eyes! Brynne Weaver pulled me in again with her second installment in the Ruinous Love Trilogy and I was instantly obsessed. Enemies to lovers, fake marriage tropes, killer DIY (iykyk), assassins, musicians, murderous hicks, batch ovens and so much more! I highly recommend the audiobook! I cannot recommend this series enough!

36. Fairydale by Veronica Lancet

Wow. Just wow. I was nervous to read this book because so many people said they struggled to get through it. And when it arrived K was greeted by nearly a thousand pages, multiple timelines and a story world spanning worlds and millennia. There’s a lot of info to digest in this book but Lancet needs to be hailed for her world building because it is impressive! While the dialogue was a bit cringey and out of place in some instances I did enjoy this book!

37. Shades of Red by Willow Prescott

This book was a little lost on me. With a plot that has tones from Shades of Grey and Haunting Adeline, it seemed to go for shock rather than substance. I can understand the “Yes, chef” fantasy and did find the mmc intriguing, but the story was so jumbled I lost interest here and there. No doubt there is an audience for this book, it just wasn’t me.

38. ( NOT PICTURED) Remain Nameless by HeyJude19

Say what you want but fanfics count as books. Especially this one! A little Dramoine reread and I will not be judged lol. It’s amazing and the enemies to friends to lovers arc is something I am 1000% here for. So 😝

39. Credence by Penelope Douglas

So, after reading this I can see why it’s such a polarizing book. But I still found myself absolutely engrossed in every page. Douglas proves again that she can take the most absurd storyline and turn it into something so intriguing that you don’t even notice the cringey dialogue and crazy circumstances. While it’s not my favorite of hers, it’s definitely worth the read.

40. Midnight is the Darkest Hour by Ashley Winstead

I was absolutely blown away by this southern gothic thriller! It was stunning in its imagery and heart wrenching in its ability to portray the reality of small town minds and the ability for power to poison anyone and anything. The love story was subtle but powerful and the ending?!!!!! Well, you’ll just have to read and see!
