Can’t belive my A1C is at exactly 7%! Ever since I was diagnosed my highest was about 9.1% struggled getting down to 8% and now I’m at 7! I believe it only gets better from here 🥰 hoping I can get to 5-6% by 2027 to start our little family ❤️😏💅🏽

Understanding your A1C levels is crucial for diabetes management. A1C is a measure of average blood sugar levels over the past 2-3 months, and a lower A1C often indicates better control of diabetes. Many goal for an A1C below 7% to reduce the risk of diabetes complications. It's important to pair physical activity with a balanced diet for effective weight management. Losing weight can enhance insulin sensitivity, making it easier to maintain healthy blood sugar levels. A steady reduction in weight can lead to improvements in A1C as well. Current guidelines suggest checking A1C levels at least twice a year if your diabetes is well-managed, and more frequently if your treatment changes. Regular monitoring and consultations with healthcare professionals can help motivate and steer patients towards their health goals. Remember to celebrate milestones, no matter how small! With diligence and dedication, it's possible to achieve an A1C level that aligns with personal health aspirations. Let's support one another in this journey toward better health and well-being.
