#fitness | I became a LabX instructor
Might sound like a cliche but taking this course really was one of the best things i did in 2025. I consistently started doing LabX in May & slowly found the passion growing stronger. Whn the chance came, i did hesitate but eventually signed up for the training🤭
It’s one thing to think you know the correct form but it’s another to actually have your own form corrected & learning to train your eyes to spot mistakes.
I came out of the training knowing how each exercise is really suppose to feel & how i can cue to make others feel it too. We were taught by Master Trainer, Jonathan Nyugen, Lab flew him in for a 3 day course!
I love moving & i workout 5-6x a week so physically it doesnt really take a toll on me but i do have to balance this out w my FT job that occasionally requires me to OT🥲 some weeks it does feel like alot but it really helps that i don't see teaching as another job but sth i really like to do.
If you started seeing LabX online and are curious to know what it really is, just sign up for any trial, i promise you it really is a high intensity workout.
If you're curious about LabX pilates and how it differs from traditional pilates or barre classes, I highly recommend giving it a try through a trial class. LabX focuses on slow resistance training, which means spending extended time under tension to target muscles more deeply, leading to greater strength and endurance gains. Unlike other fitness modalities like reformer pilates, LabX offers varied intensity levels that grow with your progress, so there's always a new challenge awaiting. Personally, the biggest shift for me was not just physical but also the improved body awareness and posture correction I gained through repeated, mindful practice. Over weeks, I learned to identify and correct subtle form issues that make a significant difference in safety and workout effectiveness. Becoming an instructor helped me master these cues, allowing me to help others experience the same transformative benefits. Balancing a full-time job with teaching can be demanding, but the passion I have for LabX makes the effort worthwhile. It doesn’t feel like work—it’s an extension of my love for movement. I’ve also noticed a rapid physical transformation, especially in toning and muscle endurance, which was harder to achieve with other workouts I've tried. For those unsure about LabX, think of it as a unique strength and endurance-focused workout that blends precision, challenge, and community support. The machine and movements differ from Pilates due to trademark distinctions, but the core benefits—muscle toning and high-intensity engagement—are undeniable. My journey from participant to instructor has been empowering, and I encourage anyone interested in holistic fitness to explore LabX.
