Dinosaur Themed Nursery 🦖 🦕
Decorating my boy’s nursery was literally one of the most meditative things I did during my pregnancy. If I can suggest anything, do it early.
Don’t want until your huge and miserable. It saved so much stress doing my baby shower and starting the nursery halfway through the pregnancy rather than halfway through the last trimester.
There were a few things I left to do late in the pregnancy and I struggled so bad with procrastinating as I got closer and closer to the end. So get it done bit by bit, starting early.
I would spend hours in there, before my boy arrived. Sometimes just sitting in there, imagining life once he arrived. Sometimes working on organizing and reorganizing and reorganizing again. Sometimes folding clothes, or stocking up the diapers in the closet, or sometimes simply just playing on my phone in the nursing chair.
Life is so different than I ever imagined it being back then. In all of the best ways. So in love with my boy. I know everyone says “it goes so fast.” Before I had him I feel like I didn’t really let that sink in, but they are so right. Feels like yesterday I was getting his room ready, planning the theme, what should go where… and now we’re planning his first birthday party for in a couple months.
I want him to stay this little forever, and want this room to stay his sweet little dinosaur nursery. And to this date. Over 9 months since he’s arrived. It’s still my favorite room in the house. But soon, it’ll be full of trucks, or cars, or superheroes, or whatever his choice may be. Whatever he loves in the next stage and season.
