From business to gamer real quick

2024/10/16 Edited to

... Read moreHey everyone! 👋 So many of you have asked how I juggle a demanding professional life with my absolute love for gaming. It feels like one minute I'm suited up, heading to a meeting in a big corporate building, and the next I'm in my comfy jeans and a tee, headset on, ready to conquer virtual worlds. It's definitely a switch, but it's totally doable and incredibly rewarding! For a long time, there was this stereotype that gamers were just guys in their basements, but that's so far from the truth now. Being a 'girl gamer' means something different to everyone, but for me, it's about embracing a hobby I adore without sacrificing my career or personal style. One minute I'm taking a mirror selfie in a public restroom during a work break, looking all business in my suit, and the next I'm focused on my laptop, hand over the keyboard, totally immersed in a first-person shooter. The common thread? My bright orange-painted nails – a little touch of me, no matter the environment! Finding that balance can be tricky, especially when your work requires a lot of focus and professionalism. My secret? Time management and creating distinct 'zones.' When I'm in my suit, carrying my handbag, walking purposefully on a patterned sidewalk, I'm in work mode. My brain is all about productivity and strategy. But once I'm home, or even when I slip into something more casual like light blue jeans and a comfy top, my mindset shifts. It's about consciously transitioning from the 'business pro' to the 'gamer queen.' Setting up a comfortable gaming space, even if it's just a corner with your laptop, is crucial. It helps mentally separate work from play. And let's talk about style! While my work wardrobe is all about polished suits and smart accessories, my gaming style is all about comfort without sacrificing personality. Think stylish but relaxed: soft tees, cozy hoodies, and my go-to white sneakers. It's a journey from formal to fun, but always authentically me. Who says you can't be both a corporate powerhouse and a formidable gamer? It’s all about owning every part of who you are. What are your tips for balancing different aspects of your life?
