I come from an infantry battalion/unit and most times we sleep in the field (yes outside) with no access to showers or even porta johns .. all you really have is your TENT! :(
2. body wash, spray bottle, and loofah:
If you can’t find the wipes this is a good alternative & vice versa
3. field shower : This is the best way to be & feel clean while out in the field but it can be a hassle for packing and setting up. You will for sure need a tarp or 2 and some strings to tie them around trees (don’t forget the shower shoes)
4. feminine spray: after doing either 1-3 we use this on the outside of our uniform to stay fresh
5. portable fan: keep them small baby fans on the playground this fan gonna do what u need !
6. solar power portable charger : How else you gonna keep your phone charged boo ? (If you’re like me you may have access to some outlets, i make sure i bring regular power banks too)
7. folding chair: Not really a necessity but will definitely come in handy i swear
8. tap water drink mixes & sunflower seeds : Unless u or ur company packs powerades all you”ll have is water, water, water at some point u might wanna spruce it up & go sunflower seeds are my favorite outdoor snack It’s undeniably the best option.
... Read moreWhen preparing for field training, especially in military environments, it's crucial to focus on essential hygiene and comfort items. The use of bathing wipes is fundamental, as they provide a quick and effective way to clean oneself when showers aren't available. Many soldiers can relate to experiences shared during training, often leading to the development of unique field hacks.
Using body wash in a spray bottle alongside a loofah can serve as an excellent alternative when wipes are scarce, ensuring that you maintain cleanliness. Setting up a field shower, though initially challenging, can greatly enhance the feeling of freshness. Remember to bring necessary accessories like tarps and shower shoes!
Feminine hygiene is also a priority; carrying a feminine spray can help maintain freshness throughout the day, especially after active engagements. Additionally, keeping cool with a portable fan can be a game-changer, providing relief during hot summer days in the field.
Power remains critical—solar-powered chargers are a favorite among many; they ensure that communications remain operational. A portable folding chair may seem like a luxury but can contribute significantly to comfort during long hours outside. For hydration, consider options like drink mixes to add some flavor to plain water, and snacks such as sunflower seeds can provide necessary energy boosts. Overall, being well-prepared equates to improved morale and efficiency in the field.
