What I wish every parent of a child DHH child knew
You might've heard things like:
"Will they ever talk normally?"
Or, "They don't even look Deaf."
Maybe you've felt pressure to find the right "fix"— instead of the right support.
If any of that hits close to home, please hear this:
You are not a bad parent.
You're learning.
And part of this journey? It's also about unlearning.
I've been there— as a mom of a child who's DHH
And what l've learned time and time again is this:
Your child is not broken.
They don't need to be fixed.
They need access.
They need connection.
And they deserve to be celebrated exactly as they are.
And just by being here—you're already doing something powerful. #childwithhearingloss #hearinglossawareness
