What I do as a certified Medical Assistant🩺

🩺I work as a Certified Medical assistant in order to get clinical experience/exposure to prepare me for medical school and build my skills to become a doctor in the future.

💉As a medical assistant, I gain first-hand exposure to patient care. I also get to see how doctors deal with patient which would help shape my skills as a future physician.

🫀If you are a medical assistant or a premed trying to get into medical school, follow me so we can help each other through our experiences.

From both administrative to clinical patient care duties, medical assistants play a crucial role in bridging the gap between patients and healthcare providers. Common duties include taking vital signs, drawing blood, administering vaccines, and performing follow-up tasks to ensure comprehensive patient care. Medical assistants also handle paperwork, assist in checking patients in and out, deal with insurance, and relay lab results—making them integral to a smooth healthcare operation. Moreover, gaining direct patient care experience as a medical assistant provides invaluable insights and skills that are highly beneficial for future medical practitioners. It shapes clinical acumen and hones communication skills essential for effective patient interaction. Whether you are currently a medical assistant or a premed student gathering experiences, connecting with others in this field can bolster your journey toward medical school. Engaging with peers allows for a shared pool of knowledge and support as you navigate the challenges of becoming a physician.
