Mid July Books 📚

As promised, here’s a list of books I’ve listen to so far this month. I’m an audiobook girlie - I enjoy cleaning, organizing or just dilly dallying while I listen. These books are very different from each other, but I believe they’re well written.

1. Win the Day by Mark Batterson

2. The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry by John Mark

Comer

3. Strangers: A Memoir of Marriage by Belle Burden

4. When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi

Friend me on Goodreads @Sindi S-O I’d love to check out what’s on your TBR list.

... Read moreListening to audiobooks has become one of my favorite ways to stay productive and inspired throughout the day. Whether I’m cleaning, organizing, or simply relaxing, audiobooks offer an immersive experience that combines entertainment with personal growth. One standout title this month has been "Win the Day" by Mark Batterson, which offers practical habits to help anyone navigate the chaos of modern life with calm and purpose. It’s narrated exceptionally well, making it easy to engage with Batterson’s advice on staying emotionally and spiritually healthy. Another really impactful audiobook is "The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry" by John Mark Comer. This book dives into the importance of slowing down and prioritizing what really matters, which is incredibly relevant in today’s fast-paced world. Hearing Comer discuss spiritual wellness while I go about my day really encourages a mindset shift. For those interested in memoirs, "Strangers: A Memoir of Marriage" by Belle Burden is a profound exploration of love and the challenges couples face. It feels very intimate and relatable, especially when listened to in moments of quiet reflection. Lastly, "When Breath Becomes Air" by Paul Kalanithi is a deeply moving memoir about life, mortality, and meaning. Listening to it is a reminder of the preciousness of every moment, and the narrative is beautifully delivered by multiple narrators who bring the story to life. If you’re looking to build a meaningful TBR list or want audiobook recommendations that enrich your daily routine, these picks are a great place to start. And if you’re like me and prefer audiobooks to physical reading, these titles won’t disappoint in either content or narration quality. Feel free to connect with me on Goodreads to share your book lists and discover even more inspiring reads. Happy listening and remember—you are fully known and deeply loved, so make time for stories that nourish your heart and mind.
