incredible YA books
I am a teen librarian so I read a lot of YA and here are some of my favorites on my teen shelves right now!
You’d be home by now is a great book if you want to rip your heart out and stomp on it and sob in a very ugly way. I highly recommend it.
The sunbearer trials is SUCH a fun book and the first in a duology and I need to read book 2 because it just came out! The romance is fun but secondary to the competition!
The prince and the apocalypse has the dumbest name in the world, I know. But I promise it’s a really good, fun, silly at times but also deep at times YA book! Just check it out! I promise it’s not what the title and cover make it seem like it’ll be …well there is an apocalypse, and he is the prince but it’s not as lame as it sounds 😭😭
Have you read any of these? What’s your favorite YA book?

As a teen librarian, I've explored an abundance of young adult literature and curated a list of remarkable titles that resonate deeply with readers. One standout is 'You'd Be Home By Now', which tackles themes of addiction and loss, delivering an emotional experience that is hard to forget. Another exciting title is 'The Sunbearer Trials', a compelling mix of magic and competition, which is the first in a promising duology that engages readers with its enchanting premise. The adventurous 'The Prince and the Apocalypse' offers a humorous yet thought-provoking take on royalty during an apocalypse, showcasing an unexpected depth behind its quirky title. For those seeking more insights into the YA genre, there are trending titles like 'All That Consumes' by Eff Watson, which explores complex character dynamics and existential themes. Keeping up with the latest publications is crucial, so don’t miss titles like 'Everything That Burns' and 'The Running Dream' that are making waves in the literary community. Engaging with these narratives not only enhances personal libraries but also promotes discussions within book clubs. Do you have your own recommendations? Share your favorite YA books and join a vibrant community of young adult literature lovers!
