Daily Reflection: The Peaceful Pond a Haiku
Today I went for a walk by the pond. It was a pretty day in the 70s the air was fresh and the sun was warm. The park was quiet and only one other car was there. A couple sitting under a tree. I walked around stepping back and letting life step forward. Forward I saw a family of turtles by the pond just being. A family of ducks, some pecking at the ground, some sitting, some standing, some playing and one swimming. I noticed the beautiful white wildflowers swaying with the gentle breeze. I thought what peace I am able to enjoy right now. I took these pictures throughout my walk. Went back to my car sat down and wrote this haiku:
野生花、
Yasei hana,
カモと亀住み、
Kamo to kame sumi,
平和池.
Heiwa ike.

Wildflowers,
Ducks and turtles coexist,
Peaceful pond.
Rewritten within 5,7,5 rule:
Pretty wildflowers,
