Once you’re happy with your design, download it as a high-quality PDF or PNG for the best print results. Next, it’s time to print your custom Kindle insert at Walgreens. This part is surprisingly simple! I just headed to their photo center online or through their app. You can upload your design directly. When choosing the print type, I highly recommend going for a matte finish photo print or or even a cardstock option if available, as it gives a more premium feel and prevents glare. A standard glossy photo print might be too reflective inside your clear case. Make sure to select the correct size you designed in Canva – usually, a 5x7 or 8x10 print size can be trimmed down perfectly to fit your Kindle. The cost is usually just a few dollars, making this DIY project incredibly affordable. I picked mine up the same day, which was such a bonus! Now, for something many of you might be wondering about: should you laminate your Kindle insert? This is a fantastic question, and one I considered deeply! Walgreens does offer various services, including photo laminating for certain items. While I haven't personally laminated my insert yet, I've heard great things about it for durability. Laminating would protect your beautiful design from wear and tear, accidental spills, and general handling. Imagine your 'beautiful' art staying pristine for ages! If you want your insert to last a very long time, especially if you plan to swap it out often, laminating might be worth looking into.
