Renting > Owning Right Now

Everyone feels in a rush to settle down and buy a home these days, but let me tell you why I am comfortable continuing to rent, for now at least.

1. Upfront costs!!!! I, and many people, are simply not in the linancial place to cover upiront costs, down payment, insurance, taxes, etc.

2. MAINTENANCE. I love renting and having someone else handle all responsibilities like yard work, snow removal, if anything breaks, etc.

3. City living!!! I absolutely adore living in Boston, my job is local to the city and renting is far more conducive to city living. I couldn't even think of affording to BUY in the city.

4. Not being tied down to one place! I can sign a new lease anywhere if I want to change locations. But if I bought, I'd be tied to one spot.
