Okay, so I absolutely have to share my thoughts on the Olaplex No. 5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner. This isn't just any conditioner; it's honestly been a game-changer for my hair, especially after all the bleaching and styling it goes through. I've given it a solid 5 stars because it truly delivers on its promises. From the very first use, I noticed a difference. My hair, which often feels dry and brittle, immediately felt softer and more manageable. What sets Olaplex No. 5 apart is its patented bond-building technology. Unlike regular conditioners that just coat the hair, this one actually works to repair the broken disulfide bonds caused by chemical treatments, heat styling, and environmental stressors. For those of us with bleached hair, this protection is absolutely crucial for maintaining strength and preventing further damage. I use it after shampooing with Olaplex No. 4, leaving it on for about 3-5 minutes, sometimes even longer if I'm feeling like my hair needs an extra boost. The texture is creamy but not heavy, and it rinses out easily without leaving any residue. The scent is subtle and pleasant, not overpowering at all. After rinsing, my hair feels incredibly smooth and detangled, making it much easier to comb through without breakage. Now, a common question I see is about a "No. 5 leave-in" product. It's important to clarify that Olaplex No. 5 is a rinse-out conditioner, designed to be used in the shower. If you're looking for leave-in benefits from Olaplex, you'll want to explore other products in their line like the No. 6 Bond Smoother or No. 9 Bond Protector Nourishing Hair Serum. The No. 6 is fantastic for frizz control and hydration, while the No. 9 offers heat protection and shine, both applied to damp hair before styling. They complement the No. 5 conditioner perfectly for a complete bond-repairing routine. As for rumors about an "Olaplex launch August 2024," I'm always excited to see what new innovations Olaplex might bring! While I can't confirm specific future launches or a new "No. 5 leave-in" product, their existing range, including this conditioner, continuously helps keep my hair healthy and strong. My experience with this product has been so positive – it really does make hair soft and protects damaged hair, proving to be incredibly beneficial for my bleached hair. It's definitely an 'EMPTIES & RESTOCKS' staple for me!
