Kendrick Lamar is set to headline the 2025 Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, set for Feb. 9, 2025, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
This will mark the hip-hop icon's second appearance at the NFL's premier event, following his performance as a special guest during Dr. Dre's West Coast hip-hop showcase in 2022.
However, it will be his first time headlining the show and only the second time a rapper has taken center stage as the main act.
Lamar said in a statement:
"Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date," he said.
"And I'll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one."

Loved Kendrick Lamar's performance and it will definitely go down in history as one of the best performances to date and how it impacted people of every race. I feel like this was the last time I saw all Americans really come together as one nation. I'm sure it's been other times but right here right now this country is in an uproar with all the insanity that happens day by day. I'm sick of it. People have the right to vote for whoever they choose but people also need to be mindful of who they are voting for.
