🌻Self care is “THAT GIRL”!

🌸Waking up early is a key ingredient to making you feel more productive for the day! It gives you that confidence boost you need to get more done during the day.

🌹Now I know us mamas are probably already up at this time running around getting the kid(s) ready for school so here’s what you can do, either wake up earlier & do half or what you can before the kids wake up & then do the rest when the kids are off to school OR do it all when the kids are at school. If you work I suggest waking up early & doing it all before school & work!

🌺All of these are super easy & quick to do (except for the 30 minute workout)! Most of them are to help you start your day with a clear and sound mind with a positive attitude for the day!

✨Life gets overwhelming & we sometimes get burnt out & forget that we need to take care of ourselves. Well it’s times that we stop that, & start taking care of ourselves! We CANNOT productively take care of everything else in our lives if we are constantly burnt out, overstimulated, & running on 2% battery life!

🍋PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN! We all have the habit of picking up our phones and mindlessly scrolling as soon as we wake up… DONT! I used to be on my phone so much & now that I’m not it’s a breath of fresh air. I deleted most of my social media, I enjoy the small moments more, I’m not mindlessly scrolling anymore, I get so much more done during the day! Half the time I don’t even know where my phone is🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

The first thing I'd reach for was my phone, immediately diving into emails, social media, or the news. By the time 7 AM rolled around, I felt like I was already behind, my mind cluttered with other people's priorities. Sound familiar? That's why one of the most transformative elements of my 7-day journey was the strict 'no screen time until 7 AM' rule. It might seem simple, but this one boundary created a sanctuary in my morning. Instead of reacting to the digital world, I learned to proactively build my day. My alarm would still go off at 6 AM, but instead of scrolling, I’d kickstart my day with intentional, nourishing activities. The Power of the Pre-7 AM Window This hour, the 'time until 7 AM,' became my sacred space. On Day 1, it started with something as simple as waking up and stretching. Just a few minutes of gentle movement, feeling my body wake up, made a huge difference. Then, I'd head to the kitchen for a glass of warm lemon water. This small ritual felt so cleansing and energizing, preparing my body from the inside out. As the week progressed, I added more layers to this precious hour. Day 2 introduced 10 minutes of meditating. Just sitting in silence, focusing on my breath, helped clear the mental fog that often accompanied my pre-routine mornings. By Day 3, journaling became a powerful tool. Pouring my thoughts onto paper, setting intentions, or simply free-writing helped me process emotions and gain clarity before the day's demands began. Day 4 brought in planning the day. Instead of letting my tasks overwhelm me, I’d map out my priorities, making my day feel manageable and purposeful. Even on days when I added a 30-minute workout (Day 5), a healthy breakfast (Day 6), or getting dressed with affirmations (Day 7), the 'no screen time until 7 AM' rule remained the anchor. It ensured that, no matter what else was happening, I was starting my day centered, present, and in control. Making it Stick: Overcoming the Urge I won't lie, resisting the phone in the early hours was tough at first. The habit was deeply ingrained. What helped me was charging my phone outside my bedroom. Having that physical distance made it less convenient to grab it impulsively. I also replaced the urge to scroll with a pre-planned activity – knowing I was going to stretch or journal gave me a positive alternative. Over time, the transformation has been incredible. My anxiety has significantly decreased, my focus has improved, and I genuinely feel more prepared for whatever the day brings. That 'time until 7 AM' is no longer just a waiting period; it’s the foundation of my well-being and productivity.
