✨Why I Quit Instagram✨

I decided to step away from Instagram because I realized how much pressure comes with keeping up a perfect social media image. Between school, my girls, and everyday life, I don’t need the extra stress of curating myself for a feed.

Right now, my focus is on my nursing school journey, my home, and being truly present in my day-to-day. Disconnecting from the noise means I can reconnect with my actual life—on my terms.

So cheers 🥂 to a more intentional, grounded season. One where I can live for real moments, not just for the grid.

... Read moreHave you ever found yourself endlessly scrolling, feeling a strange mix of boredom and anxiety, and then wondering, 'Should I quit Instagram?' You're definitely not alone. Many of us are grappling with our relationship with social media, and for good reason. The constant pressure to present a 'perfect' life can be exhausting, pulling us away from what truly matters in our day-to-day existence. I've personally felt the magnetic pull of the feed, the subtle comparison that creeps in, and the sheer amount of time that can evaporate into the digital ether. It's no wonder that 'why are people leaving Instagram' has become such a common search query. For many, including myself, it boils down to a desire to reclaim mental space, reduce stress, and genuinely engage with our lives. People are seeking authenticity over curated perfection, realizing that real moments often get sacrificed for the sake of the grid. We want to be present for our families, our studies, our work, and our personal growth, rather than constantly chasing likes or validating our experiences online. If you're asking yourself 'should I quit Instagram,' it might be a sign that you're ready for your own 'Social-Media-Cleanse.' Signs could include feeling drained or unhappy after scrolling, constantly comparing your life to others', neglecting hobbies or responsibilities, or simply feeling like your phone is dictating your attention. When I first considered this, the idea of 'quitting Instagram' felt daunting. Would I miss out? Would I lose touch? But the benefits I've experienced far outweigh those initial fears. Taking the leap, whether you decide to temporarily deactivate or permanently delete your Instagram, can be incredibly liberating. If a full detox feels too extreme, you can start with smaller steps. Try setting strict screen time limits, designating certain hours or days as 'no social media' times, or even moving the app off your home screen to reduce temptation. I found that simply uninstalling the app from my phone for a week was a great way to test the waters without committing to a full deletion. It allowed me to experience the freedom and then decide if I wanted to go a step further. The real magic happens when you start 'unplugging from social media' and fill that newfound time and mental energy with enriching activities. Instead of scrolling, I now have more time for reading, pursuing creative projects, exercising, or simply enjoying quiet moments with my loved ones. I've noticed a significant improvement in my focus and a reduction in that underlying hum of social media anxiety. My conversations feel deeper, my appreciation for small, everyday joys has grown, and I truly feel more grounded. It’s about shifting focus from external validation to internal contentment. So, if the thought of a 'Social-Media-Cleanse' has been lingering in your mind, consider this your nudge. Even a small break can provide immense clarity and help you reconnect with what genuinely brings you joy and fulfillment, far away from the pressures of the digital world. It's an opportunity to live for real moments, on your own terms.

Why Most Creators Quit Too Soon
Most people quit content creation not because they aren’t talented — but because they’re overwhelmed and guessing. You don’t need to do everything. You need a clear starting point. That’s exactly why I created The Wealthy Creator — to help beginners build with clarity instead of chaos.

Why I’m thinking of not using instagram?
I’ve been using instagram since it first came out (that makes me feel old). It was fun and exciting. It was all about photography or was supposed to. Now it just feels like how many followers to get, look how my “exciting and interesting” life, and trying to get likes. Which is why I got bored

Why I quit my 9-5
little back story about me: I graduated high school in 2020 with no idea what I wanted to do! I went the college route because that’s what society and the adult figures in my life pushed me to do. But I figured out very quickly that what I wanted to do in life did not require me to get a piece of p

Why I quit getting my nails done
I LOVE having pretty nails. What I don’t love is: • Sitting still for an hour or more to get them done • Having to make an appointment or waiting until my appointment to get my nail(s) fixed • The cost, especially when I can save here…the cost of everything is just out of control right now! • D
