🌸Heyy yall🌸
I've come to realize through experience that our nervous system acts like an inner alarm and guidance system, helping us navigate social interactions. When we feel calm and comfortable around someone, it's often our nervous system signaling that this person is safe. On the other hand, feelings of unease or tension are important red flags. One thing I’ve found helpful is tuning into physical sensations like relaxation, ease in breathing, or a sense of lightness, which often indicate safety and trustworthiness. Conversely, when my heart races, or I feel tense or jittery near someone, I take that as a cue to proceed with caution or reassess the relationship. This idea echoes the phrase I once saw: "YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM WILL ALWAYS LET YOU KNOW WHO'S SAFE LISTENツ!!" It's a reminder that our bodies hold wisdom beyond conscious thought. Practicing mindfulness and checking in with how your body feels in different social settings can improve your decision-making in relationships. Trusting your nervous system empowers you to build healthier, more secure connections that positively impact your mental and emotional health. Remember, your body’s signals are valid and worth paying attention to.
