🌸Heyy yall🌸
I've spent a good amount of time reflecting on the emotional toll it takes when someone makes you feel unwanted. It's a painful experience, something many people endure silently. Over time, I realized that pushing harder to gain someone's attention or affection only led to more disappointment and hurt. Choosing yourself means recognizing your value and the respect you deserve. When calls go unanswered or texts are ignored, it might feel tempting to try harder, but this often drains your energy and self-esteem. I've found that setting boundaries, like pulling back or even blocking toxic connections, is a powerful act of self-care. It’s important to understand that this isn’t about giving up or being coldhearted; rather, it’s about preserving your mental health. Everyone deserves relationships where they feel wanted and appreciated. Sometimes, walking away allows space for growth and better connections. Normalize this kind of self-respect–don’t feel guilty for protecting your emotional space. If someone consistently makes you feel less than you are, choosing yourself is not only okay, it’s necessary. Remember, self-love is a journey with ups and downs, and it’s perfectly fine to prioritize your peace of mind above all else.
