🌸Heyy yall🌸
From my own experience, I used to constantly put others' feelings above my own, often feeling drained and unappreciated. The words from the OCR, such as "Stop always feeling bad" and "Nobody felt bad when it was you," really resonated with me because they mirror the harsh truth I ignored for a long time. It's important to recognize when you're sparing people emotionally at the cost of your mental health. Learning to set boundaries changed everything for me. I started saying no when I needed to, and that wasn’t easy at first. People may not always react positively, but over time, I noticed my own confidence and happiness improved tremendously. The phrases like "Nobody cared" and "Trying literally worse" reminded me that sometimes the emotional labor we perform isn’t reciprocated or valued. Self-care isn’t selfish; it’s necessary. Taking time to focus on your needs—whether that means taking a quiet moment for yourself, speaking up for how you feel, or walking away from toxic situations—helps preserve your energy. This shift helped me laugh more freely and feel less burdened by others’ expectations. If you relate to the feeling of constantly checking on others’ reactions or feeling guilty for putting yourself first, know you’re not alone. It’s okay to prioritize your mental well-being. When you stop sparing others while neglecting yourself, you create space for healthier relationships and greater self-respect. Remember, your feelings matter just as much as anyone else’s.
