🌸Heyy yall🌸
From my own experiences, I've noticed that insecurity plays a huge role in how people treat each other in social groups. Many times, I was the one shining in my circle, and surprisingly, it caused rifts rather than celebrations. People—sometimes even family members—would avoid including me in plans, not because of anything I did wrong but because they feared losing the spotlight. This kind of dynamic is pretty common where some individuals feel threatened when others receive more attention. It’s not necessarily malicious; it often stems from low self-esteem or jealousy. I’ve had friends who would get upset simply because they weren't receiving the same level of recognition or praise, which sometimes made me retreat to protect my own energy. What helped me was recognizing these patterns early and choosing to spend time with those who support and uplift rather than compete. Also, developing a mindset that encourages celebrating others’ successes diminished the tension. It’s important to foster self-confidence, so we don't feel the need to undermine others to boost ourselves. Insecure behaviors within friend groups can lead to toxic environments if left unchecked. Setting boundaries and communicating honestly about feelings can greatly improve these dynamics. Remember, it’s okay to step back from relationships where insecurity turns into negative behavior. Prioritize your mental well-being, and surround yourself with people who genuinely appreciate your light.
