🌸HEYY YALL🌸
I've personally experienced the challenges of being a genuinely giving person. It's such a fulfilling feeling to want to help everyone around you and share your resources or knowledge whenever possible. However, over time, I've learned that not everyone has the same intentions. Some people specifically seek out kind-hearted individuals to take advantage of their generosity. It can be heartbreaking when you realize that certain people are only interested in what you can do for them, rather than valuing you as a person. This usually happens when you're naturally empathetic and always willing to help, which unfortunately attracts energy drainers or narcissistic individuals. To protect yourself, I started becoming more aware of who I allow close in my life. It’s important to recognize patterns of behavior: if someone consistently only reaches out when in need and never reciprocates support, it’s a red flag. Setting healthy boundaries and learning to say no without guilt are essential skills. I also found that surrounding yourself with like-minded positive people who appreciate your authenticity without exploitation makes a big difference. True friends will support you and celebrate your kindness rather than weigh you down. It's not about becoming closed off or stingy; instead, it's about being mindful of your energy and protecting your well-being so you can continue to be genuine without being drained. Remember, your kindness is a gift—be selective about who you share it with, so it nourishes rather than depletes you.
