🌸Heyy yall🌸
I've personally experienced the frustration of giving my time and energy to people who simply weren't willing to match my efforts. It's emotionally draining to keep pouring into relationships where the other person acts like you're in their way rather than a valued part of their life. Over time, I realized that constantly seeking validation or support from the wrong people only led to disappointment and hurt. One important lesson I learned is to identify the people who naturally want to pour into you just as much as you pour into them. These are the individuals who genuinely care about your well-being and reciprocate kindness without making you feel like a burden. When you invest your energy in such relationships, you'll find more fulfillment and less emotional exhaustion. Setting boundaries has been a game-changer for me. It doesn't mean cutting people off harshly but rather protecting your own emotional space by not chasing after those who show disinterest or treat you as secondary. This approach allowed me to focus on myself, nurture positive connections, and feel more confident about where I place my energy. Ultimately, it's about respecting your own needs and accepting that not everyone will want or be able to give as much as you do—and that's okay. Stop going out of your way for those who don't appreciate you, and instead, invest in yourself and relationships that uplift you. This shift has brought me greater peace and a renewed sense of worth.
