Desires go forgotten when you don’t feel safe 🫶
Often times when we are unsafe our body and mind will go into protective mode to save us. In this episode, I detail the desires I forgot and how god aligns our life for more so we can open our hearts to the more he wants for us.

In my personal journey, I've noticed that when I feel unsafe—whether emotionally, physically, or mentally—my mind and body instinctively shift into a protective mode. This natural response, while crucial for survival, often causes us to suppress or completely forget our genuine desires and dreams. It’s like a defense mechanism shutting off access to what truly matters deep inside. One thing that has helped me break through this barrier is acknowledging the presence of this protective mode without judgment. Instead of pushing away the feelings of fear or insecurity, I tried to understand why they exist and what they are protecting me from. This awareness creates a space where healing can begin. Faith, particularly my belief in divine alignment, has also been a powerful source of comfort and guidance. Trusting that life orchestrates experiences to lead us toward greater growth has allowed me to be more open-hearted. Sometimes, it takes recognizing that what we perceive as setbacks or safety concerns are actually catalysts arranged for our benefit. Practically, I found that nurturing self-love and practicing patience with myself during unsafe phases is vital. Engaging in practices like journaling, meditation, or even watching inspiring episodes like the one discussed can inspire us to remember the desires that got pushed aside. Ultimately, feeling safe isn’t just about our external environment; it’s about cultivating a mindset and community that support vulnerability and authenticity. When safety is established internally and externally, our hearts naturally open up, allowing desires to surface and flourish once again.
