Olipop vs. Poppi Mountain Dew // worth ur $$$???
I don’t drink soda very often so these brands with high fiber contents are like a special treat to me. Here’s my thoughts on the Mountain Dew alternatives 👇
Nutrition: Poppi is lower in calories, sodium, total carbohydrates. Poppi has just 5mg more of natural caffeine. Olipop has 6g more fiber.
Poppi tasted more like a 7 up / Mello Yellow than a Mountain Dew. I liked the taste but it has a stronger melon flavor and is also not as carbonated as Olipop. It costs $2.18 at my Walmart.
Olipop tasted more like Mountain Dew and I liked the taste. They somehow nailed that battery acid flavor lol. It costs $2.38 at my Walmart.
I preferred the Olipop flavor while my boyfriend preferred the Poppi flavor.
Which do you prefer??

When choosing a Mountain Dew alternative, it’s helpful to consider not just taste but also health benefits and price. Both Olipop and Poppi are prebiotic sodas that support digestive health, but they differ in fiber content and caffeine levels. I found Olipop, with its slightly higher fiber content and more authentic Mountain Dew flavor, best for those craving that bold, familiar taste. Poppi’s lighter carbonation and unique melon notes make it a refreshing choice if you prefer something less intense. Price-wise, Poppi tends to be slightly cheaper—at around $2.18 per can compared to Olipop’s $2.38—so budget-conscious shoppers might lean toward Poppi. Both sodas contain natural caffeine (Poppi has 5 mg more), which can provide a gentle energizing effect without the crash usually associated with traditional sodas. Plus, each offers low sugar options with added fiber, which is rare in the soda category. Additionally, their ingredient lists emphasize natural and organic components like sparkling water, organic cane sugar, apple cider vinegar, and various plant-based fibers, which are great if you’re aiming to reduce artificial additives. If you’re looking for a fizzier, more bold citrus drink reminiscent of Mountain Dew, Olipop delivers. If you want a softer, fruitier soda with digestive benefits, Poppi is a solid pick. Either way, both are excellent summer drink alternatives that add value beyond just flavor. Give both a try to see which aligns best with your palate and wellness goals!

Definitely olipop! I couldn’t figure out what soda the poppi one tasted like it was interesting but I think they missed the mark.
