Always one ear to the ground but it’s also not getting in the way of me doing my nails 💅🏼
As a mom of four energetic boys, I've learned the art of being both attentive and relaxed at the same time. It's not always easy to distinguish between harmless play and moments when things might get a bit too rough, but over time, I've developed a well-practiced discernment to recognize when to step in and when to let them enjoy their fun. This balance allows me to keep one ear tuned in to the sounds of their play downstairs while still finding moments to focus on myself, like pampering my nails. Taking care of ourselves as parents is often overlooked, yet it's essential for maintaining our well-being and patience. Even when life is busy and noisy, carving out these little pockets of self-care helps me recharge and be more present for my kids. I find that creating a secure environment where the boys can play freely but safely is key. It gives me the confidence to engage in small acts of self-care without guilt, knowing I can quickly respond if needed. This approach has made a huge difference in managing the chaos of motherhood while still enjoying meaningful moments for myself.
