🎧 A Guide to Ear/Headphones 🎵 (+what you need!)
As a musician and lifelong listener, I’ve built a fairly large collection of headphones and earphones (which includes many past ones that didn’t work out too well…) Here is my experience with the ear/headphones that follow and what I think you really need! ❤️🎵 (I have named the brands for additional information but am referring to the broader category)
🎵Apple EarPods: great affordable alternative to AirPods! Can be taken on the fly. Of course, there’s always the slightly annoying risk of getting them tangled but it can reduce Bluetooth exposure if that is something you’re concerned about.
🎵Skullcandy Sports Earphones: good for people who do fast-paced workouts regularly but they have to fit well to be useful. Not a must have
🎵Boat Rockerz Bluetooth Headphones: love the versatility that Bluetooth headphones offer, plus they’re a pretty cool accessory 😎 as you can see, mine is completely worn out…
🎵Bose Tenor Sunglasses: yeah, if you didn’t know these were a thing before you saw the post, I didn’t either. Got them for my birthday. They’re cool for sure but can only be used at specific times
🎵Sennheiser Studio headphones: longer wire and excellent sound quality can be good for musicians and even doing chores/moving around. I clean my room while wearing these sometimes if they’re untangled…
🎵Bose wired headphones: wired headphones often offer better quality that their Bluetooth counterparts (not always true but often). I would definitely recommend a set for longer times spent gaming, watching movies, taking calls, etc.
🎵Sony wired earphones: standard wired earphones get tangled quite a lot and don’t have a very long life. That being said, they’re the most affordable option in the market so if you need one, be sure to get one from a reliable brand to protect your ears.
I think the only major one I didn’t cover are AirPods…unfortunately don’t have any and probably won’t need them for a while. If you’re an AirPods user, I’d love to hear your experience 😊

-a multipurpose set of ear/phones compatible with your phone
-a portable bluetooth set for on-the-go
-optional: comfortable wired headphones for longer work, gaming, music, etc. sessions
Of course, you should only get what you need! I’d like to mention that most of these are years old and were gifted or passed down to me. I’m very much aware of e-waste and overconsumption - this was more of an accidental collection 🙈

Which headphones do you think have the best quality? I’ve only had beats, AirPods and ofc the iPhone wired headphones. But the beats broke over age, I was thinking about buying them again but I heard that Bose has pretty good quality!?
