GRWM
GRWM for a day that looked way better in Indyx than it did once I actually put it on my body. But we’re committing to the outfit anyway!!
The top is a recent thrift find, and I really loved the colors together in theory. Sometimes the vision translates perfectly, and sometimes you just have to leave the house and hope for the best.
Still kind of obsessed with this cardigan though.
Getting ready for the day can sometimes be unpredictable, especially when your outfit looks amazing online but feels different in real life—like in my recent GRWM experience. What’s important is how you carry yourself and make the outfit work for you, regardless of unexpected weather or how colors translate off-camera. Thrifting has been a game-changer for me, offering unique pieces that bring personality to corporate wear without breaking the bank. For example, the embroidered square neck sleeveless top I wore added a vintage charm that made the outfit feel special. Pairing thrifted items with classic staples like a navy-trimmed cardigan or brown boots can elevate the overall look effortlessly. On rainy or lazy days, layering is key but also tricky. I learned that picking out an outfit the night before can sometimes backfire if the weather changes, so being adaptable is part of staying stylish. Cardigans not only provide warmth but add texture and depth to corporate outfits, especially when they have interesting details like contrasting trims or buttons. Also, little touches like carefully chosen jewelry and making sure your accessories are secure—as I did with earring backings—can boost confidence and complete your look. And don’t forget, sometimes embracing the “imperfect” style and actually going out with an outfit that didn’t translate perfectly is part of authentic fashion expression. Overall, mixing thrifted fashion with corporate staples allows for a personalized, sustainable wardrobe that stands out in office settings. My advice: trust your instincts, experiment with layering, and never underestimate the power of a good cardigan!
