... Read moreStarting a journey to manage PCOS can be incredibly daunting, especially when concerns about physical changes like 'moon face' and body recomposition are involved. From my personal experience, the fear of how others perceive you can create a significant barrier—even leading to postponing vital lifestyle changes for an entire year. Many people warned me that the steroid side effects would be obvious, creating what they called an "oz8mpic" face, which increased my anxiety about starting treatment or making lifestyle adjustments. However, I learned that embracing the journey and focusing on personal health rather than others' opinions is empowering. PCOS often leads to symptoms such as weight gain, hormonal imbalances, and changes in facial appearance like moon face—rounded facial swelling caused by medication or hormonal fluctuations. While daunting, these changes can be managed with proper guidance, nutrition, and consistent body recomposition efforts. It’s helpful to seek support from communities who understand PCOS, as sharing experiences reduces the stigma of visible symptoms. Remember, the impact of PCOS on your body is deeply personal, and your progress is about improving your well-being rather than fitting others’ expectations. Starting slow, setting realistic goals, and prioritizing mental health alongside physical health can pave the way for sustainable improvements. Overcoming the fear of judgment meant that I was finally able to focus on what truly matters: feeling stronger, healthier, and more confident in my skin. If you’re nervous about beginning your own PCOS management journey, know that you’re not alone, and that facing those fears is a crucial step toward reclaiming your health and happiness.

I’m an adult, why can‘t i have my own schedule?
I’m at my breaking point. My husband insists our 13-year-old stepdaughter must be invited to every trip and holiday — even adjusting dates to fit her plans. Meanwhile, our 2-year-old daughter’s experiences keep getting postponed “until she’s here.” This summer, my stepdaughter posted that I “ruine
