Five year difference 🤯
I wish I could hug myself 5 years ago and tell her everything would be okay!!
Living with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) during college can be an overwhelming experience, as I discovered firsthand. Five years ago, my PCOS symptoms were at their worst, making daily activities and academic responsibilities much harder to manage. Reflecting back on that time, I realize how crucial a strong support system and effective management strategies are. One of the biggest challenges was the unpredictable nature of PCOS symptoms, including hormonal imbalances, fatigue, and weight fluctuations. These made focusing on studies and social activities difficult. However, I found that embracing lifestyle changes such as a balanced diet, regular exercise, and stress management significantly improved my quality of life. What helped me the most was connecting with communities of others facing PCOS, where I could share experiences and tips. It’s important for anyone struggling to remember that improvement comes gradually and that setbacks are part of the journey. Celebrating small victories, like completing college, while managing PCOS feels incredibly empowering. To those who feel overwhelmed by PCOS today, I wish I could give a comforting hug to my past self and remind her that with patience, the right care, and support, things do get better. Don’t hesitate to seek healthcare advice and mental health support throughout your journey. Your perseverance truly pays off, and sharing your story helps others feel less alone in theirs.
