🌾 Teaching Tuesday ~ Learning at the Table 🌾
Breaking Bread at the Mustard Seed with Stacey
🍞Just a Little Daily Bread…🍞
One of the most beautiful things about Jesus is that He was always teaching.
He didn’t just preach in temples or stand behind podiums.
He taught while walking dusty roads…
while sitting at tables…
while breaking bread with ordinary people.
Jesus knew that transformation happens when truth is understood, not just heard!
That’s why He often used simple things… seeds, bread, vineyards, fishing nets… to reveal deep spiritual truths.
And the amazing part?
He is still teaching today!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Through His Word.
Through quiet moments in prayer.
Through circumstances that stretch our faith.
Through the gentle whisper of the Holy Spirit.
Every day is another opportunity to sit at the table and say,
“Lord, teach me.”
When we stay teachable, God keeps shaping us, growing us, and preparing us for the purpose He has placed inside of us.
So today, open your heart.
There is fresh bread on the table…
and the Teacher is ready to speak.
Proverbs 9:9 ~
“Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.”
Lord, give us humble and teachable hearts. Help us to hear Your voice through Your Word and apply Your truth to our lives. Shape us, grow us, and guide us as we follow You. Thank You for patiently teaching us every step of the way. Amen! 🤍

One of the most transformative ways to deepen your faith is by adopting the practice of learning at the table—a concept inspired by Jesus’ approach to teaching. Unlike formal sermons delivered from podiums, Jesus’ teachings often occurred in intimate, everyday settings such as meals shared with friends and strangers alike. This method highlights the importance of community and openness in spiritual growth. Through years of personal experience, I have found that 'breaking bread' with others provides unique opportunities for reflection and learning. Whether it’s a quiet family dinner or a gathering at a local church, these moments become sacred when we invite God’s presence and remain open to His guidance. The table becomes more than just a place for food; it’s a setting for spiritual nourishment and transformation. The imagery of seeds, bread, and vineyards used by Jesus continues to resonate deeply. These simple, relatable elements invite us to reflect on growth, sustenance, and fruitfulness in our own lives. Applying these metaphors has helped me stay grounded and see God’s hand even in the mundane aspects of daily routine. I encourage everyone to cultivate a daily habit of pausing to listen—whether through scripture reading, prayer, or quiet contemplation—and to say, "Lord, teach me." Life’s challenges often stretch our faith and present teachable moments that nurture resilience and deeper trust in God’s plan. Incorporating Proverbs 9:9 into daily meditation has enriched my spiritual walk greatly: “Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.” The call to be teachable is both humbling and empowering, reminding us that growth is ongoing and that God’s lessons are tenderly delivered through many channels. So as you gather at your table today, remember that fresh bread—and fresh insights—are always available. Embrace the opportunities for faith growth that come with daily living. Keep your heart open, your spirit teachable, and allow the gentle whisper of the Holy Spirit to lead you deeper into God’s truth and love.
