Dear God,
Today we sit in the quiet; the space between the cross and the promise. Thank You for the sacrifice of Jesus, for the love that was poured out, and for the price that was fully paid. Even in the silence, we know Your plan is still unfolding.
As we wait, help us trust You.
When things feel still, remind us that You are still working.
When we don’t see the outcome yet, strengthen our faith to believe that victory is coming.
Teach us to rest in this in-between moment, knowing that what feels like an ending is not the end. You are preparing something greater than we can see.
We hold onto hope, we hold onto Your promises, and we trust in what You are about to do.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
In moments of quiet reflection between life’s challenges and hopeful outcomes, it can be difficult to maintain trust in the path God has laid out for us. This time of waiting, often described as the space between the cross and the promise, invites us to lean into faith even when answers are not immediately visible. Personally, I have found solace in these silent periods by focusing on the assurance that God’s work continues beneath the surface. Just like the biblical promises to Abraham about his descendants and blessings—even when it seemed impossible—God’s plan is always active, even if unseen. Keeping this perspective helps ease anxiety and fear about the future. One practical way to nurture trust during this time is through prayer and meditation on scripture. The powerful reminder that what feels like an ending is only an in-between moment encourages me to rest patiently, knowing greater things are being prepared. It empowers me to hold onto hope, remain rooted in God’s promises, and expect victory in due season. Additionally, reflecting on stories from scripture like Abram’s covenant or God’s faithfulness to Hagar and Ishmael have deepened my appreciation of divine timing and provision. These stories show that even in uncertainty and waiting, God’s care is constant and hopeful outcomes are assured. By sharing this prayer and personal experience of trusting God in the silence, I hope to encourage others facing similar in-between moments. It’s a reminder that faith is not passive but an active partnership with the divine plan unfolding beyond what we can see right now. May we all find strength to trust, courage to wait, and peace in the promise of what is to come.
