IM LEAVING! ITS OVER!!!

This is the last week of my travel nursing contract in Kansas! I was here for 4 months! ✨✨🫶🏻

I met some awesome people and ate some delicious food! I experienced negative degree weather and almost died lol IM FROM FLORIDA for reference! 😂

I worked on a cardiac/ cardio thoracic step down unit! I would rate this contract experience an 7/10 just because the small city I’m in is boring! We are very ourdoorsy and this place is flat with not much to do but eat! I can’t wait to take you guys I’ll my next adventure!!!

Completing a travel nursing contract can be both exhilarating and bittersweet. Traveling nurses often have to acclimate quickly to new environments and healthcare settings. In Kansas, I not only faced challenging weather from Florida's warmth but also engaged in rewarding patient care in a cardiac unit. My typical day varied from caring for cardiac patients to exploring the local cuisine and connecting with fellow nurses. The slower-paced lifestyle allowed me to appreciate community interactions that often get lost in larger hubs. As I prepare for my next assignment, I reflect on the key lessons learned, like the importance of adaptability and making the most of every experience. For those considering travel nursing, it is vital to prepare for both the professional and personal challenges of such transitions. Each location offers unique opportunities, and Kansas was no exception. I can’t wait to share my next adventure, filled with new experiences and growth!
