Explanted my breast implants 🍉🍉

Bye bye boobies!!!

I did a capsolectomy + enbloc + lift.

I don’t know where to begin! I’ll talk about more another day because even typing hurts a bit!

I removed by implants yesterday on 7/30!

For many reasons but the main one is health! I’ve been on a health journey for the past 2 years and it didn’t make sense to want to be healthy and have toxic silicone in my body. I’ve had the implants in for 12 years! I couldn’t believe how heavy they were when they handed them to me! 12 years I had those heavy bags sitting on my vital organs. Insanity.

Scroll to the see the photos! If you want me to share more about this journey let me know! ♥️

... Read moreWow, it's incredible how many of you reached out after my initial post about explanting my breast implants! It's a journey I never thought I'd take, and I'm so glad to share more with you. For me, the decision wasn't just about aesthetics; it was deeply tied to my two-year health journey. I realized that having 'toxic silicone' in my body no longer aligned with my goal of true wellness. Many women experience what's often called Breast Implant Illness (BII), with symptoms from chronic fatigue to brain fog, and while I can't say for sure it was BII, I felt a profound shift once they were out. I had a capsulectomy, enbloc removal, and a lift. For those unfamiliar, a capsulectomy means removing the fibrous capsule that naturally forms around the implant. An enbloc procedure takes this a step further, removing the implant together with its surrounding capsule in one piece. This is often preferred to minimize the risk of capsule rupture and ensure complete removal. The lift was crucial for me, as after 12 years, my natural breast tissue needed reshaping to achieve a more aesthetically pleasing result without the implants. Seeing those heavy implants after they were removed, feeling their weight, truly highlighted what my body had been carrying for over a decade. It was quite a moment, holding those clear breast implants in my hand and seeing their texture and markings. My recovery has been a process, and it's important to set realistic expectations. Immediately after surgery, I was in a lot of pain, but it was manageable with medication. The photos you see of me in my white post-surgery compression garment with a medical drain are from those early days. The drain helps remove excess fluid and blood, and while it's a bit cumbersome, it's vital for a smooth recovery and preventing complications. I spent a lot of time resting, and gentle movement was key. Everyone's explant journey is unique, but patience is definitely a must. One common question I've received is about the 'after' look and what to expect with 'breast fluffing after explant'. Initially, your breasts might look a bit... deflated, or even bruised and swollen. This is normal! Over the next few weeks and months, your skin and tissue will start to settle. 'Fluffing' refers to the process where the lower pole of the breast softens and rounds out as swelling subsides and tissues relax. My surgeon emphasized the importance of wearing my compression garment consistently and following all post-op instructions to support this natural reshaping. The goal isn't necessarily to replicate the augmented look, but to achieve a natural, healthy contour. For those considering explant, looking at 'before after implant removal' photos of women with similar body types can be really helpful to visualize potential outcomes. Choosing a surgeon is also incredibly important. I did extensive research, looking for someone who specialized in explant surgery and understood the nuances of different implant types, whether they were 275 cc, 400cc Motiva, 485 cc, or even Allergan. It’s not just about removing them; it’s about understanding the internal changes and how to best support your body’s healing and natural form afterward. Don't rush this decision. Ask about their experience with capsulectomy and enbloc procedures, and make sure you feel heard about your health concerns. This is your body, your health, and your journey. I'm still early in my recovery, but I already feel a lightness, a sense of alignment that I haven't had in years. If you're considering explant, know that you're not alone, and there's a huge community of support out there.

❤️❤️❤️ this. I made the decision to remove my implants last November and it was the best decision ever. No more headaches, backaches, and super expensive bras. My health was far more important to mw than my implants. I feel so much better now🥰.

A handwritten study guide titled 'STEAL MY REPRODUCTIVE SYS NOTES' covers diploid and haploid cells, meiosis, mitosis, and the process of fertilization, including where it occurs and how sperm are attracted to the egg.
Handwritten nursing notes detail the Female Reproductive System, outlining the functions of ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, and vagina. It also includes a flow chart illustrating the stages of Oogenesis from oogonia to primary oocytes.
Handwritten notes explain that if sperm fertilizes a secondary oocyte, a secondary meiotic division occurs, forming an ovum (haploid, 23 chromosomes) and a second polar body.
