Mt Fuji 🗻

Day trip to Mt Fuji while in Japan 🌟🧸💌 such a beautiful addition to a wonderful trip before we head to Ashiya!

⭐️Overall rating: 4/5

So beautiful to visit, but there isn’t much to do around Fuji. Don’t make the same mistake we did and go on a Wednesday, everything is closed!

... Read moreVisiting Mt Fuji is truly a breathtaking experience, especially for those who appreciate natural beauty and scenic landscapes. When I planned my day trip, I was drawn by the iconic view of the mountain, which feels almost spiritual and inspiring in its calm majesty. However, I quickly learned that while the scenery is spectacular, the activities available around Mt Fuji can be somewhat limited if you're not prepared. One key tip I wish I had known beforehand is to check the days when local shops and attractions are open. My visit on a Wednesday meant that many places were closed, which made exploring the area a bit challenging. To make the most of your trip, consider going on a weekend or public holiday when more facilities and experiences are available. To add value to your visit, try visiting the Fuji Five Lakes area (Fujigoko), which offers various outdoor activities such as hiking, boating, and even hot spring baths with views of the mountain. The area’s natural beauty and calm environment make for a peaceful escape from the city. Also, if you have extra time, explore nearby towns like Kawaguchiko or explore Ashiya, as mentioned, which offers charming local culture and cuisine. This can truly round out your experience beyond the mountain itself. Overall, I rate Mt Fuji a solid 4 out of 5 for its visual appeal and tranquility. For travelers seeking both beauty and cultural engagement, pre-planning to align your visit with open days will enhance your adventure. Don’t miss capturing sunrise or sunset around Mt Fuji – it’s a moment you won’t forget.
