EPHPHATHA - BE OPEN ( MONTH OF MARCH
(“Be Opened” — Mark 7:34)
Heaven bends when Jesus speaks,
A single word breaks chains of weeks.
A sigh, a gaze, a lifted hand—
And closed things open at His command.
“Then, looking up to heaven, He sighed, and said to him, ‘Ephphatha,’ that is, ‘Be opened.’” — Mark 7:34 (NKJV)
Ephphatha—
A word that shakes the sealed and bound,
That cracks the silence with holy sound.
It opens ears that fear has shut,
It frees the tongue the past has cut.
“The ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.” — Isaiah 35:5 (NKJV)
Ephphatha—
A word for hearts locked in regret,
For dreams delayed, for hopes unmet.
A word that breaks the iron door,
And calls the soul to rise once more.
“He opens the ears of men.” — Job 33:16 (NKJV)
The man stood still—mute, confined,
A prisoner in his own mind.
But one touch rewrote his fate,
One word reset his inner state.
“Immediately his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was loosed.” — Mark 7:35 (NKJV)
Ephphatha—
A word for wombs long called barren,
For visions faint, too weak to carry.
A word for gifts buried in dust,
For faith that trembles but dares to trust.
“For with God nothing will be impossible.” — Luke 1:37 (NKJV)
Ephphatha—
A word for prophets who lost their roar,
For worshipers who closed the door.
A word for altars cold and still,
For spirits longing for God’s will.
“Deep calls unto deep.” — Psalm 42:7 (NKJV)
Ephphatha—
A word for nations bound in night,
For churches dimmed of holy light.
A word that summons fire again,
That breaks the yoke, that lifts the chain.
“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” — 2 Corinthians 3:17 (NKJV)
So speak it now—
Over your life, your home, your call,
Over every place you’ve hit a wall.
Let heaven echo through your soul:
EPHPHATHA—BE OPENED, BE MADE WHOLE.
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says…” — Revelation 2:7 (NKJV)
