Having explored this refuge myself, I found the well-maintained trails perfect for all skill levels, with ample signage that educates visitors on the local flora and fauna. Birdwatchers can delight in spotting over 280 species, including migratory birds that make this refuge their seasonal home. One of my favorite activities was walking the Alviso Marina County Park section, where the peaceful environment and scenic views create a truly immersive experience. The refuge also offers ranger-led tours and seasonal events that deepen your understanding of wetland ecosystems and conservation efforts. If you’re planning a visit, consider bringing binoculars and a camera to capture the vibrant wildlife.
