4 EXERCISE WORKOUT FOR ROUNDER GLUTES 🍑

Here’s the workout I did that was heavily focused on Glutes with only 4 exercises!

The rep ranges is what I did with the weight I used, make sure you use a weight that challenges you in that rep range otherwise do more reps, slow down the reps or increase the weight.

My rule of thumb is that the last 2 reps of your set should be very challenging or you’re doing it wrong;)

🌸: 1: Hip thrusts

4x12 w/AMRAP (as many reps as possible) KAS Glute bridges after each set.

🌸: 2: RDL’s

3x12 reps

Make sure to make them Glute focused so a little more bend in the knee sending your hips back.

🌸: 3: Leg press

3x12

W/4 sec negative (on the way down) on each rep.

🌸: 4: Hyper Back extensions

3x12

W/AMRAP body weight after each set

... Read moreHey amazing fit fam! I wanted to dive a little deeper into why these 4 exercises are my absolute go-to for building those strong, rounder glutes we all dream of. The workout I shared is fantastic, but getting the most out of each movement, especially Romanian Deadlifts (RDLs) and Hyper Back Extensions, truly makes all the difference! Let's talk RDLs – these are a game-changer for your posterior chain. When I first started, I struggled with feeling it in my lower back instead of my glutes. My biggest breakthrough was focusing on the hip hinge – imagine you're pushing a car door shut with your hips, keeping a slight bend in your knees. Instead of thinking "bend down," think "push hips back." Keep the bar close to your legs, and really concentrate on stretching your hamstrings and then powerfully squeezing your glutes as you come up. Don't go too low if it compromises your form; stopping when you feel a strong stretch in your hamstrings is perfect. I love using a barbell for these in the gym, but dumbbell RDLs are a great way to start and perfect your form. Remember, it's about control, not how much weight you lift. Next up, Hyper Back Extensions – not just for your back! These are incredible for isolating and strengthening your glutes. The key here is to think of it as a glute extension rather than a lower back movement. When you come up, focus on squeezing your glutes hard at the top, almost as if you're trying to touch your heels to your butt. I often hold a weight plate to my chest for weighted back extensions to add intensity, but even bodyweight back extensions with proper form will make your glutes burn. Don't hyperextend your lower back; keep your core engaged and control the movement, especially on the way down (that 4-second negative idea from the leg press can even be applied here mentally!). For the Hip Thrusts and Leg Press, remember the advice on challenging those last reps and the 4-second negative on the leg press. These details are crucial for muscle growth! With Hip Thrusts, really drive through your heels and squeeze at the top, holding for a second. For leg press, placing your feet higher and wider on the platform can help emphasize the glutes. My personal journey to rounder glutes has taught me that consistency and form are everything. Don't be afraid to experiment with different weights within the recommended rep ranges, and always prioritize that mind-muscle connection. If you're not feeling it in your glutes, adjust your form! Try to incorporate this glute-focused workout 1-2 times a week, allowing for recovery. And trust me, it's so rewarding to see and feel the strength build up. Save this workout, give it your all at the gym, and get ready for those amazing glute gains!
