Here's My story...

My name is MJ and I am the Founder of Advisory Avenue. I was working internally for human resources departments for over a decade and now work as an "external" form of a HR department for employees. 

Throughout my career I realized that helping employees solve their workplace issues was the most gratifying part of my day (you know,actually being a resource for humans lol not the company). I started Advisory Avenue as side gig several years ago to help employees outside of my own feel like they have a safe place to ask questions, talk through solutions etc without backlash from their managers. 

Though I was dreaming of working for myself I wasn't sure how I was going to do it full time. I was pushed early into making full time- I was laid off from my internal  HR job just once month after coming back from maternity leave. I felt lost, betrayed and overwhelmed, The team members i had trusted to help me were now out of reach.  Right then, I decided that I was going to make Advisory Avenue a name that any employee will know in order to not feel as lost as I idd

Work is always going to be work but having someone who specializes in human resources can give you the reality of the situation so you can plan your next move accordingly and with discretion.
