... Read moreSummer holds a unique charm when seen through the surrealist lens. Personally, I've found that the season's heat often shifts my perception of reality, allowing me to daydream wildly beyond the confines of everyday logic. Like the surrealists who sought to free the mind from rational constraints, summer invites you to explore the bizarre, the symbolic, and the fantastical. For me, wandering through abandoned places or quiet cathedrals becomes an almost transcendental experience during summer months. The stillness caused by heat creates a pause—a moment where time feels suspended, and the mind drifts into realms of myth and chaos. This atmosphere mirrors the surrealist pursuit of uncovering hidden layers beneath reality, where the ordinary transforms into something extraordinary and mysterious. Engaging with surrealism in summer isn't just an intellectual exercise; it's also deeply personal and sensory. I often find inspiration in artworks reminiscent of Alessandro Siciliani, whose dark cathedrals and impossible landscapes evoke that dreamlike essence. These images fuel my imagination and encourage creativity, making summer a perfect season for artistic experimentation or even casual tarot explorations and symbolic discoveries. Moreover, embracing surrealism during summer can be a form of intellectual growth. It teaches us to question our perceptions and welcome the irrational or unexpected aspects of life. Whether it’s through reading surrealist literature, visiting eccentric art exhibitions, or simply indulging in daydreams of walking houses or talking plants, this season becomes an adventure in expanding the mind. In short, adopting a surrealist approach this summer means welcoming indulgence, mystery, and creativity. It’s about seeing the world differently—allowing summer’s heat to transform ordinary moments into bizarre, beautiful experiences that enrich both our inner life and our artistic sensibilities.
