What is Google Sheets? 🚀
Google Sheets (Google Sheets), or Sheets for short, is a Spreadsheet software that runs on Online or Cloud, developed by Google and part of Google Workspace (formerly G Suite).
Google Sheets acts similarly to Microsoft Excel, but is distinctive at its cloud operation. This means that you can use it for free through a web browser or mobile application, without installing the program, and it is automatically saved (Autosave) at all times.
What can I do?
Google Sheets has a variety of capabilities and features for data management, computing, and collaboration, as follows:
Create tables and store data: It is used to effectively record, organize, and store data in a table format with rows and columns, whether it is customer listings, revenue-expenditure accounts, or inventory data.
Calculate and Analyze Data: Many different formulas such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, averaging, counting (SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT), as well as complex formulas for data analysis such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Table
Create charts and graphs: Convert data from tables into images in the form of charts or graphs such as Column, Bar, Pie, Treemap to make them easier to present and understand.
Real-time Collaboration: This is the most important highlight. You can share (share) files with colleagues or other people to edit data simultaneously (Real-time) and notify them when changing documents, making teamwork much easier.
File Import / Export: Files can be imported from Microsoft Excel to resume on Sheets, and Sheets documents can be downloaded as Excel, PDF or CSV files as well.
Using AI Assist Analytics: There is a built-in artificial intelligence (AI) feature that can provide assistance such as guiding formulas or letting you ask questions about your data in simple language to gain insights faster.
In short, Google Sheets is a great tool for managing online spreadsheets focused on fast and secure collaboration, and also a great tool for small tabular storage focused on cooperation and ease of use, but if you want a system with reliability, high security, speed, and relational data management capabilities for large applications or systems, you should consider using a real database such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB instead.
