DON’T Underestimate Phosphorus! ⚠️

Early drilling and emergence are happening where there's moisture, but autumn's been very dry. 🌵

I worry that seedbeds with little moisture will struggle with phosphorus availability, since P sticks to soil particles and roots have to search for it. 🗺️

When it's dry, roots put a lot of energy into finding key nutrients, which can lead to deficiencies early on. Even with plenty of organic matter, dry and mild conditions don't help convert it into usable P for plants. 🌱

If you still have drilling to do in dry seedbeds, think about putting P near the seed to help plants access nutrients and grow stronger through winter. 💪🏼🌾

Don't underestimate phosphorus - it's crucial for:

• Root development 💪🏼

• Energy transfer (photosynthesis) ☀️

• Handling stress (drought, heat) 😖
