"Kissing you is like fighting with you.”

Okay I love love love anything relatively Pride and Prejudice coded, make it Romantasy?!? I’m done for. Still, considering I picked this one up on a whim I was shocked that this book wasn’t on my radar sooner. With short books like this one I feel like it’s easy to brush over things and make the story feel like it’s rushed but the author did such a good job pacing this story I didn’t feel like it was lacking for anything. I not only loved the romance in this one (because who doesn’t love a good enemies to lovers), but the family development as well. The banter? *chefs kiss* I could re-read this one over and over in my life time and still be kicking my feet. This is your sign to PICK UP THIS BOOK!

Reading Potions and Prejudice by Tee Harlow felt like stumbling upon a hidden treasure within the romantasy genre. The story masterfully combines the classic allure of Pride and Prejudice with enchanting elements such as witches, potions, and family struggles, which add layers of intrigue and magic to the narrative. One aspect that truly stood out was how the enemies-to-lovers trope was executed with authentic emotional depth. The tension between the protagonists was palpable, yet their gradual transformation into allies and then lovers felt natural and satisfying. The witty banter and sharp dialogue brought the characters to life, making their interactions a highlight of the story. The pacing deserves special mention. Despite being a shorter book, the author gave enough space to develop both the romance and familial relationships without rushing. Scenes involving family dynamics brought warmth and realism, reinforcing that this tale is as much about personal growth and trust as it is about love. Moreover, the inclusion of moonflower witches, potions, and the intertwining of magical conflicts added a unique twist that enriched the story’s worldbuilding. Themes like overcoming trust issues and navigating family expectations resonated deeply, making the book more than just a romance – it’s a journey of emotional healing. If you enjoy stories where romance meets fantasy with clever writing and well-rounded characters, Potions and Prejudice is a must-read. It’s perfect for readers who appreciate a blend of classic inspiration, magical intrigue, and heartfelt connections. This book has definitely earned a place on my repeat-read shelf, and I recommend it enthusiastically to fellow romantasy fans seeking something charming, concise, and emotionally fulfilling.
