The centurion understood authority and power, for he himself was a commander. And he recognized the depth and reach of Jesus’ power over all the world. “Just say the word,” the centurion pleaded, understanding that Jesus could command sickness and health with just a word, even from a great distance. Prayer: Father, like the centurion, I am not worthy to come to You, yet You welcome me into Your presence anyway. I confess that sometimes I don’t recognize Your full power, and I pray with uncertainty and doubt. Teach me to pray with confidence and boldness, knowing that all power and authority are in Your hands. In Jesus’ name, amen.@KnightofJc
