Teenagers get a bad rap
Teenagers get a bad rap—but let me tell you about mine.
My 14-year-old may be a handful at times, but this past weekend, he made me so incredibly proud.
Saturday:
He played two baseball games, then headed straight to work at Publix—bagging groceries and getting carts.
Sunday:
Up early, played three more games in the heat, and helped his team bring home the championship!
On top of that? He’s crushing school with all high A’s and one high B in his honors classes.
He’s learning that success isn’t just talent—it’s effort, grit, and responsibility.
Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. Even if he did resort to old ways when we got home, Im still proud!
Parents—how do you celebrate your kids’ wins, big or small? Share them below so we can cheer them on too!
