Guess who is back? No, it is not Slim Shady. It is me. I took a little hiatus and I am back in action.
As I head back to a job I truly love after being off for eight days, I’m filled with gratitude. Not everyone gets to say they enjoy what they do, but I have been abundantly blessed!
After many delays to and from STL and getting home at 2 a.m., I would love another day to sleep in, but even in the tired moments, I am reminded how blessed I am.
This verse puts everything back in perspective. Work is not just about a paycheck. It can be purpose, service, and stewardship when approached with the right heart.
If you love your job, take a moment to be thankful today. If you do not, do not ignore that either. Sometimes the blessing is in recognizing it may be time to grow, shift, or courageously pursue something more aligned with who you are meant to be. Just do it wisely, with prayer, planning, and patience, not recklessly.
Wishing everyone an amazing Tuesday.💕

When I recently returned from an eight-day hiatus, I was reminded how fortunate I am to love what I do—even after long travel delays and late nights. This sense of gratitude doesn’t just come from liking my job; it stems from realizing work can be a form of service and stewardship, something bigger than just earning a paycheck.
I find inspiration in the biblical verse from Colossians 3:23, which encourages working wholeheartedly as if serving the Lord and not merely humans. This perspective helps me stay motivated and find meaning in everyday tasks, even the challenging ones. Sometimes we get caught up in work as a means to an end, forgetting it can also be a source of personal growth and fulfillment.
For anyone feeling dissatisfied or stuck, acknowledging those feelings is a vital first step. It may be a nudge to reflect deeply and consider if it’s time to pursue a new path more aligned with your true self. But this should be done thoughtfully—through prayer, strategic planning, and patience—rather than impulsive decisions. Shifting careers or changing directions can be daunting, but the potential to find a role that resonates more deeply with your passions and values is a powerful motivator.
Ultimately, gratitude weaves through both the good and tiring moments of work life. Even when exhausted after unexpected delays or busy days, focusing on the blessings and purpose behind what we do nurtures resilience and joy. Taking a moment each day—like this Tuesday—to practice thankfulness can transform how we experience our professional journeys and inspire us to keep growing with intention.
